Hooray, another arbitrarily defined period of time that is almost, but not quite exactly, the length of time it takes the Earth to orbit the Sun, is over, and we're in a new one.

So I'm supposed to make a journal entry or do something or something. But I'm not going to do something or something, because if I do something then I start doing other things and soon I end up doing all of the things, and I haven't got time for that.

So instead I shall write a journal entry. Happy New Year. Things I have done in 2012:

Started sixth form (which, for all you non-British out there, is what we call a college that's attached to a high school), done a lot of writing, drawn a bit, started a comic (whichyoucanreadhereshamelessplug), watched Trigun, started watching DBZ Kai, Cowboy Bebop and One Piece, finished reading FMA, watched many, many movies (Skyfall, the Hobbit, Amazing Spider-Man, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, re-watched Terminator 2 and the Lord of the Rings (though I haven't re-watched Return of the King yet)), and, uh, read things, like Dune, the Glass Bead Game, the Final Empire, the Well of Ascenscion, started on the Hero of Ages (those last three are a trilogy), read some of the Dark Tower series (or was that last year?) and started reading far too many webcomics, played some video games and whatnot (Half-Life, Arkham Asylum/City, for some reason I can't remember the others). Oh, and introduced my family to anime (sort of by accident): my parents and the older of my younger sisters are now Death Note fans, the older younger sister is now into Cowboy Bebop, and the younger younger one into DBZ. It just sort of happened. Go figure.

Oh, and I've started doing stuff on my dA account. Also I've met some awesome people (oh, and in case that sounds like a coded reference to getting a girlfriend or somesuch, it isn't. Eh. But I'm not going to bore you with a forever-alone rant at the world here. Anyway, it just literally means that I met some awesome people--Nina, Grace, other people from their corner of the web who I won't bother naming here because I'm not sure if they have dA accounts).

So yeah. It's been a year. Things have happened. New Year's resolutions:

--To not make any New Year's resolutions I can't keep (ensuring that this will be a short list)
--FINISH COWBOY BEBOP ALREADY
--continue to write stuff
